Denson Wayne Jones was born in Joliet, Illinois in 1952. He was an athlete who played football and basketball at Joliet Township Schools and briefly played basketball at Joliet Jr. College before getting drafted into the Vietnam War. After the war, he pursued a career in healthcare, studying medical assisting, Xray technology, nursing, and computer networking. He worked in various hospitals throughout Oklahoma for five years before retiring. In his retirement, he became an author of novels, children’s fairytales, and inspirational quotes.
