“Lost in a hostile land, she found her greatest strength.”

Noel-Anne Brennan has been an avid writer of science-fiction and fantasy since 1986 and has published a wide collection of works in both genres. Some of her most well-received novels are the two-part The Song of the Land series.

She also wrote another fantasy novel, “Daughter of the Desert,” this time set far from the familiar settings of castles and courts. This book will be exhibited by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the London Book Fair, which will take place at the iconic Olympia London, London, on April 18-20, 2023.

In “Daughter of the Desert,” the author uses her distinct style to tell a different yet still gripping coming-of-age story about two young heroes.

Taking place between the two desert kingdoms of Virsat and Tidar, the novel first introduces readers to Forentel. Her mother is the high judge, while her father is the commander of the king’s army. In an attempt to curry a favorable alliance with loyalist nobles, Forentel’s father decides to marry her off.

The second protagonist is Erba, the younger son of the king, whose ambitious elder brother Mirta plots to speed up his succession to the throne. The king’s health is failing, and the window for treachery has widened.

The plot thickens as Forentel and Erba find themselves unlikely allies against these perilous intrigues. In the process, Fortentel also discovers she possesses an incredible power: a power tied to an ancient, mythical city thought lost to the desert sands. Determined to know their destiny, the two set out to find this lost city. Exotic desert settings are not common in fantasy.

So, for readers curious about Brennan’s take on the concept, they should order a copy of “Daughter of the Desert” by Noel-Anne Brennan on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. They should not also miss the book’s display at the ReadersMagnet exhibit at stand 6A90 during the London Book Fair.
