At the London Book Fair will be showcased many books on the most pressing problems of the 21st century. For Dr. Blondella James Brown, the problem of incarcerated loved ones is a very spiritual ordeal. That is why her book, “Go and Tell My Child to Let Me Go,” serves both as her testimony and personal guide to all those affected by the trauma of incarceration, both for offenders and the families they leave behind.

From April 20-18, 2023, at Olympia London, London, U.K, the 2023 London Book Fair will play host to exhibits on publications that focus on the most pressing challenges of the 21st century, ranging from social justice to environmental sustainability. For Blondella James Brown, no problem hits as close to home as that of a loved one incarcerated by America’s justice system. Her book “Go and Tell My Child to Let Me Go” will be exhibited by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the book trade fair.
“Go and Tell My Child to Let Me Go” gives her testimony of the time when her own son went astray and landed in prison for the first time. She holds nothing back when she shares the immense guilt and shame she felt when it happened. Asides from the horrible feeling of failure as a parent, she also felt she had failed as a Christian woman and failed the inspiring people she surrounded her family with.

Dr. Blondella James Brown is married to Carl D. Brown, pastor of the Fountain of Life Church in Houston. She has two sons and three granddaughters. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from San Diego State University, a master’s of divinity from Interdenominational Theological Center, Atlanta, and a doctor of ministry degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology. She taught at C.H. Mason Bible College and Institute. Dr. Brown served as the secretary to the Certification Board of the Church of God in Christ, First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. A retired school teacher, she is a certified volunteer chaplain for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
