San Diego, CA – WEBWIRE

“Pool of Tears weaves a concept that leaves you to question what parts are real and what parts are fantasy? What’s really going on with Alice? It’s all packaged in a very well written story that leaves you with the thought that this would be a great Netflix series. For now, enjoy the book!” – Amazon customer review

Melissa Rea’s “Pool of Tears: Nights of Alice Book II” will be exhibited by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. The event, which is one of the biggest literary festivals in the country, will take place on April 22-23, 2023, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA.

The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is an annual outdoor event in the heart of California that draws approximately 150,000 people. ReadersMagnet will be exhibiting for the third time at the literary festival. To attract fairgoers to their exhibit, the company will not only set up a larger booth but also offer more exciting activities and display more books.

“Pool of Tears: Nights of Alice Book II” is the second book in the Nights of Alice series, which is inspired by the classic escapades of Alice in Wonderland. However, this is no ordinary fairytale. The protagonist, Alice, is the most realistic character out there. She is true about her emotions and has genuine issues to deal with. Her sensual adventures start when she discovers the ability to transport herself into another world through her closet, where she fulfills her lustful desires and enjoys the company of different men. However, a happy ending is not always guaranteed.

Unlike in the first book, Alice deals with the mess she has made in her personal life. She must recover from life-threatening injuries and save herself from pain and heartbreaks while trying to restore her company’s reputation and her position as a CEO of a medical device company. Will she be able to fix all of her mess?

Get hooked on this erotic story made more intriguing with smatterings of mystery and time travel. Grab a copy of Melissa Rea’s “Pool of Tears: Nights of Alice Book II” on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Visit the ReadersMagnet exhibit at booth #225 at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books to view the book’s display.

Author Bio

As a little girl, Melissa Rea fell asleep whispering stories to herself in the dark. In elementary school, she got in trouble for embellishing when the truth seemed too boring. She learned to control her imagination as she grew up and her stories became daydreams. Pursuing a sensible career, Melissa filled her spare time with the wondrous worlds of Bram Stoker, Mary Shelly, Robert Heinlein, Philippa Gregory, Stephen King, Dean Coontz, Jackie Collins, Jennifer Weiner, Sarah Dunant and any authors who caught her fancy. Still, the stories in her head persisted, now colored by the delicious words of others.

One day, she could no longer keep them, and she began writing novels. “Conjuring Casanova” was published in 2016 and was a Recommended Indie Book by Kirkus Review. “Nights of Alice Book I,” “Rabbithole” was published in 2021 by Melange Publishing. “Maestro” was published by Melange in August of 2022 and won Best in region from ReaderViews. “Pool of Tears: Nights of Alice Book II” was published in June of 2022. Melissa currently lives in St. Louis, where she has a solo dental practice and lives with her husband and rescue cats.
