Georjean Privette Shares Passionate Account of 21st Century Healthcare’s Turbulent Years with Book Exhibit at the 2023 L.A. Times Festival of Books

Memoirs by professionals will find themselves at home in the many books that will be exhibited at the 2023 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

That has MSN RN Georjean Privette an opportunity to share her experience with America’s healthcare system in her book, “With My Own Eyes.”

In it, she shares not only her passion for caring for the sick but the lengths she will go to defend her testimony that shares the system’s flaws.

The Los Angeles Time Festival of Books 2023 will abound with first-hand accounts of many professionals from fields such as science, education, business, and more. When it comes to first-hand accounts in healthcare, one Registered Nurse has gone so far as to publish her own book just to share with the world what she saw in America’s healthcare system regardless of what it exposes.

Her name is Georjean Privette, and her book is aptly titled “With My Own Eyes.” In it, Privette shares everything she can about how she entered the nursing profession.

She got her start in healthcare when she became a CNA at the age of 18 in preparation for nursing school. Her early years had her doing work in a nursing home close to the elderly population.

In 2008, she began nursing school with the initial desire of becoming a midwife. This desire never did quite change as she continued her years working in the healthcare system that was always under constant shifts (shifts that, in her eyes, weren’t always good).

Fast forward to 2019, she became a nurse educator. Throughout that time, she seemed to be experiencing a wildly different experience of the healthcare system once more. Through it all, she had reached a point where she just couldn’t ignore what she was seeing and that not everything sat right with her.

Despite opposition even from the higher authorities in healthcare, Georjean Privette insists that what she saw be shared with the world. Her book “With My Own Eyes” will be exhibited by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at its exhibit at booth #225 at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, which will take place at the University of Southern California on April 22-23, 2023. Author Bio
Georjean Privette was born in Tucson, Az. In 1981, she was a southwest desert girl from the start. Moving to the bible belt, North Carolina, didn’t change how this desert girl faced the world. Starting at 20 years old in healthcare, as a CNA, the world of healthcare began to open. As time passed, she gained experience and educational degrees; fast forward to 2019, and a master’s degree made her a nurse educator and healthcare: became a new experience again.
