The book tells the story of George Lee and his new wife Laura, who are caught up in a struggle to find and destroy a satellite controller that could be used to fire upon any target on Earth. They visit George’s parents and then travel to his new assignment at Camp Whinton in New Jersey. While there, they discover a second controller and George is sent on a mission to destroy it. Along the way, he and his team encounter danger and adventure, but ultimately succeed in their mission. In the second book of the series, “The Adventures of George Lee: Love, Loyalty and Brotherhood,” readers can expect to follow George and his newly married wife Laura as they get caught up in more action and adventure, from finding a spy ring in Hawaii to George being fired upon by hired hit men.

About the Author

Orville Mann attended Kent grade school in Kent, Indiana. After a short romance in 1960, he married his wife of 60 years, Nena Hayes Mann. To this union was born two children, five grandchildren and six great grandsons. In 1957, he became a member of the Indiana Army National Guard, and in 1965, he was commissioned a second lieutenant. He resigned his commission as the first lieutenant in 1969 to go to Bible College.

He attended Hanover High School, Hanover Indiana and later Mount Carmel High, Lawson, Kentucky where he received his diploma. He had a variety of military schools during his time in the Army National Guard. After being called into the ministry, he enrolled in God’s Bible school and college in Cincinnati Ohio. From there, he transferred to Kansas City College and Bible School in Overland Park, Kansas. During his time in college there, he pastored the First Wesleyan Church in Kansas City, Kansas.

He was ordained into the ministry in 1983 by the churches of Christ and Christian Union. In 1996, he received a Bachelors in Pastoral Counseling degree from Lael College Graduate school in 1999. For the last 26 years he has pastored the Mount Tabor Wesley church of Bedford Kentucky. After aiding his cousin in finishing his book, he decided he liked writing, which resulted in the book, “The Adventures of George Lee” series.
