Tony Antonellis’ Book Exhibits at LibLearnX 2023 and Joins Global Call for Interfaith Dialogue

Like the many followers of the world’s major religions, Tony Antonellis strongly believes in God. However, he also believes that much harm has been done (and is still being done) in the name of sectarian prejudice along religious lines. His book, “For the Love of God,” was just recently exhibited at this year’s LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience in the hopes that it encourages a serious re-examination of all religious traditions for interfaith dialogue.

“It is an absolute necessity that dialogue takes place between representatives of all faiths and political ideologies.”

When he was young, Tony Antonellis was warned by his mother to always avoid discussing two things in public: politics and religion. Because, like many others, she had seen how passionate and heated people become when touching either topic.

Yet, decades later, after years of study in theology and even more years in social work, Antonellis learned that this was simply avoiding the inevitable. This was one of several reasons why he published “For the Love of God: An Approach to Peace, Coexistence, Community, and Truth.”

The book was just recently exhibited at the 2023 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience in New Orleans, alongside many other like-minded publications that call to end conflict, violence, and prejudice in the name of any one religion’s superiority.

More specifically, Antonellis sees this as becoming a more urgent matter, given the world’s rapid interconnectedness through new media, the internet, global travel, and more. In fact, major book exhibit events like LibLearnX 2023 are just more proof that faith-based communities can no longer hide from the beliefs and customs of other people.

The very first pages plainly state that all the world’s religions are long past the point of no return and that they must work together to create a universal view of God that excludes no one.

Antonellis’ book covers a rough series of steps on how this can be achieved. From tracing the origins of all the world’s religions across history to examining the contents of major religious texts, he hopes that readers will see the importance of focusing on the similarities of each faith rather than their differences.

“For the Love of God: An Approach to Peace, Coexistence, Community, and Truth” by Tony Antonellis Jr. is now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
