Jacobina Brinkman new Chair of the Van Gogh Museum Supervisory Board

The Van Gogh Museum Supervisory Board has appointed Jacobina Brinkman as its new Chair as of 24 March 2023. Brinkman succeeds Jaap Winter, who is stepping down having completed his second term.

Jacobina Brinkman was appointed as a member of the Van Gogh Museum Supervisory Board in February 2017. As Chair of the Audit Committee, her role included overseeing the museum’s finances and the realisation of its mission. Brinkman is a Partner at PwC, Chair of the Women Inc. Supervisory Board, a member of the UWC Nederland Supervisory Board and a member of the Stadsherstel Amsterdam Supervisory Board.

Jacobina Brinkman has been appointed Chair during the Van Gogh Museum’s 50th-anniversary year, when it will organise special activities on Museumplein and throughout the country and offer a special exhibition programme. The exhibition Van Gogh in Auvers. His Final Months – a collaboration with Musée d’Orsay – opens at the Van Gogh Museum on On 12 May. The exhibition Van Gogh along the Seine goes on display at the museum on 13 October.

The other members of the Van Gogh Museum Supervisory Board are: Maurine Alma, Hendrik Jan Roel, Marian Spier and Laurence des Cars.
