Sharon D. Dexter’s Christian Devotional “I Will Not Be Silent” Inspires Readers and Participants at the LibLearnX 2023

Sharon D. Dexter’s inspirational book “I Will Not Be Silent: Praying the Psalms” was showcased by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience (LLX) 2023.

Formerly called American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting, the LibLearnX was held on January 27-30, 2023, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana. It was considered to be the biggest library conference event of the year.

Hundreds of guests, both ALA and non-ALA members, attended the library conference. The LibLearnX 2023 provided an avenue for participants to show their support for the future advancement of the library sector and the communities they serve.

Participants, all coming from the library community, the academe, and the general public, got the chance to socialize and network, opening up talks and discussions on what could be done to support the library industry’s progression further. The event featured various interactive programs, workshops, and award ceremonies, including forums, discussions, and speaking engagements from some of the biggest names in the library community.

Sharon D. Dexter’s Christian devotional book was exhibited at the LibLearnX Marketplace, together with other distinguished books and some of the library’s latest and innovative technologies and services. “I Will Not Be Silent” features some of the Bible’s significant Psalm verses. The author expounds on these verses and, at the same time, praises God in all circumstances. And it is her sincere hope that readers will also fill their prayers with thanksgivings, regardless times are good or bad.

Sharon D. Dexter is a retired elementary school teacher with over 30 years of experience. She and her husband live in a small town in southeastern Wisconsin. Ms. Dexter wrote the devotional Fifty-Two Favorite Verses (Old Testament) for her congregation of The Chapel on the Hill, a non-denominational church. Ms. Dexter has written several short stories for young readers, teens, and adults that have appeared in church Sunday-School take-home papers such as Purpose, Beginner’s Friend, Discovery Trails, Evangelizing Today’s Child, and Devo-Zine. She has also written ten books of religious poetry.
