Book by Author Darrell Dempster Dedicated to Late Wife Displayed at LibLearnX 2023

Self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet heartwarmingly presented the touching autobiography “You Are in God’s Hands: Reflections on the Bay: A Book of Meditations and Prayers” by Sally Joanne Strott Dempster and Darrell Dempster at the 2023 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience on January 27–30, 2023, which was held at the New Orleans Earnest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana.

“You Are in God’s Hands” is made up of entries from Sally’s diary. The book doesn’t just have Sally’s diary entries; it also has short poems about life and God that are very inspiring. Sally’s experience with Alzheimer’s was typical of that of many elderly people. Darrell Dempster, her husband, spoke about what it’s like for her to have Alzheimer’s.

Dedicated to her memory, this book is written in honor of Sally Joanne Strott Dempster, registered nurse (April 22, 1934–July 28, 2021). Almost every day, Sally would write something down in her diary. Darrell served as Sally’s assistant and was responsible for compiling her diaries.

Captain Darrell Dean Dempster and his deceased wife, Sally Joanne Strott Dempster, had five children named Eddie, Diane, Deborah, David, and Holly. Darrell wrote several books about his wife Sally and their family, including 2022 Boehme Reunion – Wichita, Kansas; Sally Joanne Strott Dempster: Registered Nurse; Dead Broke: Life in the Dust Bowl in the Middle of the Great Depression and Beyond; My Gal Sal; and Migrant.
