Daiso Japan to Open Fourth Canada Store in Surrey

Daiso, Japan’s favorite retailer, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its fourth Canada store in Surrey. Strawberry Hill Shopping Centre Daiso store will open for business on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with grand opening promotions for early shoppers throughout the entire weekend. Daiso invites members of the community to celebrate at 12101 72 Ave #132 Surrey, British Columbia, V3W 2M1.



Daiso’s Global Expansion

The Surrey Daiso marks the Japanese retailer’s 95th store to open in North America. It is the fourth Daiso store in Canada with plans to open additional stores in the Vancouver area by late 2023. In North America, 25-30 additional stores are in the works to open by the end of 2023.



The 6,901 square foot retail store will feature the company’s signature brand products including home organization, gifts, decor, entertaining, school supplies, kitchenware, beauty supplies, stationery, gift wrap, greeting cards, electronics accessories, home goods, novelty items, party favors and Asian snacks. Customers shop Daiso for the incredible value and to find new surprises at every visit.



Social Media Loves Clever and Kawaii

Daiso products are the subject of countless “haul” videos in which shoppers flood the web with how-to videos and tutorials using Daiso products. Social media favorites include cosmetics/beauty products, craft and slime, Bento box supplies and ingredients, home/office organization and everything “kawaii” (cute). Fans can shop Disney, Sanrio, Rilakkuma and other character products. The stores’ grand opening celebrations often draw lines that snake around the building.
