WFAA-TV/DT, Victory Media Network, and the Environmental Protection Agency today announced that the 2007 Earth Day Art Show is now open to young people throughout the North Texas area.

The 2007 Earth Day Art Show is an endeavor for students to showcase their artistic abilities and to have an opportunity to have their work displayed at the upcoming Victory Park Earth Day kick-off event scheduled for April 17, 2007. WFAA’s Good Morning Texas program will feature a segment on these Earth Day activities featuring area school children working on experiments and learning more about the environment.

“This art show is a tremendous opportunity for young people interested in art, and it gives them the chance to have their work showcased,” said Richard E. Greene, EPA Regional Administrator. “I encourage all students with work they would like to share to send it in and be a part of this year’s Earth Day events.”

The 2007 Earth Day Art Show is open to all individuals. Artwork must have an environmental theme and be original. Individual artwork must be no larger than 11 inches by 17 inches and two-dimensional. Artwork cannot be returned and must be accompanied by completed registration form.

To enter the Earth Day Art Show, individuals, parents and teachers must submit artwork to the EPA by Wednesday, April 4.
