Today, leading virtual artist angelbaby releases his first single “the otherside” featuring Grammy award-winning songwriter and producer, Gino The Ghost.
The track is a mid-tempo alt anthem capturing the heartbreaking story of angelbaby losing his ex-girlfriend Clio. “the otherside” is a simple, but intricately woven tapestry of vocoder, spacey electric guitars, 808’s and pillowy drums effortlessly supporting angelbaby’s addictive melodies and raw lyrics.
The story of his first single “the otherside” is as jaw-dropping as his wildfire success over the last 12 months. After the loss of his longtime girlfriend Clio, angelbaby fell into a toxic cycle of self-sabotage that led him to take a trip around the world. While traveling, he has a psychedelic experience where he heard the words “i don’t wanna die in a world if it’s not with you.” He came home to Los Angeles and wrote “the otherside” with his friends Stolar, Brandyn Burnette, and Dallas Caton (Sueco, Trevor Daniel, Em Behold) and brought Grammy award-winning Gino The Ghost to feature on the song.
This will be the first single off his debut album “Clio” dropping later this year.
