Barnes & Noble Opens in Union Plaza

 Barnes & Noble is pleased to announce the opening of its Union Plaza bookstore on Wednesday, March 8^th. The bookseller will relocate from Springfield to Union Plaza, into the space formerly occupied by Modell’s. The new location will showcase the award-winning bookstore design seen in the most recent Barnes & Noble store openings.

The new Barnes & Noble is located at 2401 Route 22 West in Union, NJ, across the parking lot from Best Buy. It will officially open to the public at 9:00 AM ET on March 8^th with author Harlan Coben cutting the ribbon and signing copies of his books.

Thank you to the many customers of our Springfield store for their outpouring of support when the closure of our store was announced. The experienced bookselling team in Union Plaza, led by Store Manager Nicola Sterling, has been hard at work creating an impressive and inviting bookstore tailored to their community.”

Barnes & Noble is experiencing a period of tremendous growth, buoyed by a reading renaissance and renewed enthusiasm for physical bookstores. In 2022, Barnes & Noble opened more new bookstores than it had in the decade since 2009. The bookseller expects to open over 30 new bookstores in 2023, with the new Union Plaza location being the first in the area since 2008.
