WEBWIRE

That’s right, it’s Pokémon Day! The original Pokémon™ Red and Pokémon Green games debuted in Japan 27 years ago today. Wait, 27 years ago and it’s Feb. 27?! That’s a whole lotta 27s!

As a part of the festivities, we have some Titan-sized news updates about the Pokémon ScarletPokémon VioletPokémon UNITEPokémon Café ReMix games, Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon GO Plus +.

Pokémon UNITE

A powerful Pokémon is joining the fray in Pokémon UNITE: Legendary Pokémon Zacian. Starting today, be on the lookout for Zacian’s Weald event—players can complete missions for in-game items and obtain Zacian’s Unite license. Zacian will also appear in a special quick battle, Boss Rush.

Please check out the game for all the details. You can download Pokémon UNITE for free using the link on the side of this article.

Pokémon™ Café ReMix

Hey, who’s that stopping by the café? Why it’s Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly!

If you’re in the mood for a bit of flavor from Paldea, start up the game and sink your teeth into a new event. You can choose one of the three first partner Pokémon from Paldea to join your staff—plus, keep an eye out for a new menu item, the Paldea plate.

By logging in during the event, you can also receive a rather fetching chef outfit for Greninja and partake in deliveries where five-star chefs can join the café staff—check out the game for more info. Just like Pokémon UNITE, you can download Pokémon Café ReMix for free using the link on the side of this article.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet

Speaking of Paldea, let’s get back to the games that first introduced that region. Hold on to your backpacks, because even more content is headed to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet!

  • Starting today, you can take part in a special Tera Raid Battle online*. Try to catch one of two Paradox Pokémon: Walking Wake if you have Pokémon Scarlet or Iron Leaves if you have Pokémon Violet. Please check the game for more info**.

  • Link up to Pokémon GO! You now can send postcards from Pokémon GO to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Vivillon’s pattern in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet may change based on the postcards’ location data.

  • Pokémon HOME support for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet is planned for this spring. Thank you for your patience—please stay tuned for more details.

  • And also…

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet DLC announced

Yep, it’s true—new adventures are coming to the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games later this year. This paid DLC*** content will be called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero and is split into two parts:

  • Part 1: The Teal Mask (coming fall 2023)—Visit the Land of Kitakami as part of a school trip.

  • Part 2: The Indigo Disk (coming winter 2023)—Study as an exchange student at Blueberry Academy as your adventures expand beyond the Paldea region. (Wait, beyond the Paldea region?!)

The Legendary Pokémon that newly appear in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero include Ogerpon and Terapagos. Please look forward to a new story as you discover how these Pokémon fit into your adventures. And, of course, you’ll also encounter familiar Pokémon that you didn’t meet in Paldea.

Part 1 will be playable starting later this year, but if you’re eager to get ready, you can purchase the DLC today using the link below. There are also special purchase bonuses so click the link to learn more.

Important note: If you already own either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, just make sure you choose the right option after clicking that link. The DLC you buy needs to match the version of the game you have.

Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon GO Plus +

First announced in May 2019, Pokémon Sleep aims to offer a fun and enriching experience to Trainers by having a player’s time spent sleeping—and the time they wake up—affect the gameplay. Today it was announced that Pokémon Sleep is slated to launch in summer 2023 for iOS and Android devices.

The Pokémon GO Plus + accessory uses Bluetooth® Low Energy technology to link with smartphone apps for use in Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sleep gameplay. For Pokémon GO, the Pokémon GO Plus + enables players to throw Poké Balls automatically. Pokémon Sleep players can use the device to track their sleep in conjunction with their smartphones. The Pokémon GO Plus + will be available on July 14, 2023.

More information about Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon GO Plus + can be found here.

Alrighty, that’s it for now. We hope you continue to enjoy your adventures in Paldea and beyond!
