Barnes & Noble Opens in Tampa Town Square

Barnes & Noble is very pleased to announce the grand opening of its new South Tampa bookstore on Wednesday, March 1^st. The bookseller will move less than 2 miles, from Dale Mabry Highway to Tampa Town Square, into the space formerly occupied by Pier 1. The new location will showcase the award-winning bookstore design that has been rolled out with such success in the most recent Barnes & Noble store openings.

The new Barnes & Noble is located at 128 South West Shore Blvd in Tampa, FL, near Petco. It will officially open to the public at 10:00 AM ET on March 1^st, with bestselling author Michael Connelly cutting the ribbon and signing copies of his newest thriller, Desert Star.

Store Manager Becky Boldizar and her experienced team have been hard at work getting ready and are very much looking forward to welcoming readers into their brand-new bookstore.”

Barnes & Noble is experiencing a period of tremendous growth, buoyed by a reading renaissance and renewed enthusiasm for physical bookstores. In 2022, Barnes & Noble opened more new bookstores than it had in the decade since 2009. The bookseller expects to open over 30 new bookstores in 2023, with this location being the first new store in the Tampa area since 2008.
