Pierre O. Henry’s Poetry Sequel Presents Spiritual Turn at LibLearnX 2023

“Line Notes Life: Another Solution” is Pierre O. Henry’s clever sequel to his previous poetry book. While continuing to reflect on events in his life, this second installment presents God as a proposed solution to his personal challenges. This sequel was then presented at this year’s LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience in New Orleans.

Like many poets, Pierre O. Henry works best when he lets experience guide his hand. Titled “Lines Notes Life: Another Solution,” Henry initially takes the same course of expressing the ups and downs of his life through poetry.

Being a professional with a background in both journalism and education, he has no shortage of frustrations and personal struggles with the issues in today’s world. That means no shortage of ruminating about the possible answers, which he spells out and illustrates with his words.

At a certain point though, the verses take a turn for the religious when he touches on the topic of God in the course of positing solutions through his verse. Whether God is considered an answer or where the problem lies, readers will have to see by checking out his work.

All in all, it’s a collection that is very frank about how the author’s life journey has shaped his strongest views. It was exhibited alongside many books at the LibLearnX 2023 that offers a direct, heartfelt, and emotional look into the experiences of budding American authors.

Pierre O. Henry was born in Clarendon, Jamaica, on August 23, 1974. He received his GED with Business as his minor, a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, and a master’s degree in Education. He has one son and presently resides in Danbury, Connecticut. As he illustrated in several poems running to God, now he knows and not his choice. “Lines Notes Life: Another Solution” gives a refreshing look at an author who is not afraid to let his guard down and address some of the issues facing the world today.
