Having always been interested in writing poetry, Betty Jean Miller shares her clever and creative verses with children to help them learn to read while subtly teaching them how to handle today’s confusing world. Betty was born and raised in Dublin, Georgia. She moved to Miami, Florida at eight years old and lived there for twenty-seven years. She now makes her home in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she is a floor person at Harrah’s Casino.

Betty has raised three children; Tanya, Yolanda, and Orlando. Her hobbies include listening to music, playing the drums, bowling, and writing. She is also a member of the Faith Chapel Fellowship.
