Terry M. Barnard’s Children’s Pet Book is Displayed at LibLearnX 2023

Self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet successfully displayed the adorable children’s pet book “Bernie’s Destiny” by Terry M. Barnard at LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience on January 27–30, 2023, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, LA.

In “Bernie’s Destiny,” readers follow the Howard family as they adopt a seemingly typical pet hamster named Bernie. No one believes that Bernie, the hamster, is able to sneak around the house and learn more about the family than anybody else does. That is until a crisis threatens Bernie’s family and their home, at which moment everyone sees clearly what Bernie’s true destiny is.

Author Terry M. Barnard said: “Bernie…you are destined for great things. You have been chosen to help people in ways most animals cannot.”

The author’s real-life pet hamster, Bernie, was the main inspiration for this book. Barnard intends to uplift readers through the message of this book, which is that nothing is impossible if people put in the effort and believe in themselves.

Terry Barnard is a native Texan. She was born in Dallas and has spent most of her life in Texas. A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, class of ‘79, Terry is a former elementary school teacher and proud public education advocate. After being elected to the Board of Trustees in her community, Terry resigned from her teaching position and began a second career as a paralegal while serving on the board and advocating for the students in the district where she served.

After a successful career as a paralegal, she retired to spend more time with her family and pursue her passions, such as writing.

Terry lives in Dallas with her husband, Jody, and her chocolate lab, Bandit. Terry and Jody have two children and three grandchildren.
