“I know I say it a lot, but I love you, son! As you read these pages, remember what it takes to enjoy this life of freedom here at home. Our home.” Patrick L. Zeigler

Patrick L. Zeigler’s memoir “Both Ends of the Barrel: From the Troop Surge to Fort Hood A Dozen Years in the Global War” was exhibited by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the largest library conference event held this year in Louisiana, the 2023 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience (LLX).

Formerly called American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting, the LibLearnX was held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, last January 27-30, 2023. The library event witnessed hundreds of participants from the library community, including the academic sector and the general public, showing up to support the endeavor of the library community as it paved its way forward with the latest developments and progress. The event also allowed the guests to interact and openly discuss the future of the library industry and its communities.

The LibLearnX event held various interactive programs, workshops, and award ceremonies, including forums, discussions, and speaking engagements from some of the big names in the library community.

Patrick L. Zeigler’s fascinating memoir “Both Ends of the Barrel” was displayed alongside other notable publications at the LibLearnX Marketplace. The book focuses on the author’s background in the Army, telling how he was caught right in the middle of one of the US’s most horrific terrorist massacres: the Fort Hood massacre.

The book does not only share about the author’s life but also sends a motivational message on overcoming PTSD due to traumatic experiences. The author hopes this book will serve as a tool for readers to overcome challenges and live better lives.
