The exhibits at the LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience 2023 were all about sharing new and inspiring ideas. It’s no surprise that Christian authors like Jean Marie Patty were excited to show their newest publications, sharing messages of hope and faith in the face of difficult times.
After being a completely virtual event last year, the LibLearnX was held live at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. For Christian authors like Jean Marie Patty, author of the self-help book “Overcoming Obstacles: Climbing Mountains and Reaching New Heights”, it was a wonderful opportunity to finally share a new book with in-person attendees.
Published just a little over a month ago, “Overcoming Obstacles: Climbing Mountains and Reaching New Heights” shares much from Jean’s personal experience in overcoming the most extreme obstacles in her life. While born and raised in Alabama, she left home to study at Florida State University and then spent many more years moving across four different states before finally coming back to Alabama with her husband.
An artist and photographer, as well as a writer, Jean faced no shortage of trials along the way but found strength through it all simply through her faith in God’s gracious guidance and wisdom. Each chapter of her book contains recurring themes of hope and how she always drew strength from her beliefs.
“Overcoming Obstacles” is one of the newest generation of works in the Christian self-help genre, aimed at people facing difficult times in their faith journey.
With more in-person book exhibits happening around the country, new authors like Jean Marie see this as a sign to become more established and bring their inspiring messages of faith triumphing over adversity to even bigger reading audiences.
