The 2023 Genesis Invitational concluded Sunday, February 19, after four days at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. The winner’s trophy went to Jon Rahm, who recorded a final score of 17 under par to beat runner-up Max Homa by two shots at 15-under on the week. Rahm takes home $3.6 million and a U.S.-assembled 2023 Genesis Electrified GV70.

The Genesis Invitational is one of the most historic and longest-running events on the PGA TOUR, celebrating its 97th playing this weekend at The Riviera Country Club. This year’s event recorded sold out weekend tickets, thanks to the strong player field and excitement surrounding tournament host Tiger Woods’ performance.

The tournament is the third of 17 designated events on the PGA TOUR—each of which have an elevated prize purse of $15 million, $20 million, and $25 million. For the Genesis Invitational specifically, the elevated status comes with a $20 million purse.

This is also the first event on the PGA TOUR and Genesis global golf platform to offer two holes (the 14th and 16th) with eligibility for hole-in-one car prizes for both the player and caddie.

“Thanks to the globally renowned field and passionate spectators, we are proud to have come to a successful end to this year’s tournament that further underlined our Audacious Commitment to the game of golf and our status as a global luxury brand,” said Mike Song, Global Head of Genesis. “We will continue to work closely with TGR Live to create the best event for players, caddies, and fans.”

As title sponsor, Genesis elevated the level of hospitality for players, caddies, and spectators this year. As part of the brand’s enhanced offerings, the exclusive caddie lounge had barbers and massage therapy for added comfort. Meanwhile, spectators enjoyed Genesis’ unparalleled “son-nim”—or guest—treatment, with public access to a first-class lounge overlooking the 14th hole with complimentary beverages and Korean snacks.

Around 240 Genesis cars were deployed during the tournament as courtesy cars to transport players and event stakeholders to and from the course, while 19 more were displayed throughout the grounds, introducing the complete Genesis model lineup to both spectators and broadcast viewers around the world. Genesis product specialists were on hand throughout the tournament for questions and inquiries, and guests had many opportunities to experience and interact with the brand’s luxury vehicles.

Genesis continues to show a strong commitment not only to the sport of golf, but also to the advancement of STEAM education through a strengthened partnership with TGR Foundation. Additionally, at this year’s tournament, Genesis announced its support to increase access to youth sports programs across the United States.
