Sonoco-Alcore Announces Increase In Coreboard Prices

BRUSSELS, Belgium, -- Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l. today announced a general price increase on all coreboard grades, effective with shipments on or after April 2, 2007, it was announced today by Eddie L. Smith, Sonoco vice president-Industrial Products and Paper, Europe. Prices on the European continent will increase by 30 Euro per ton and in the United Kingdom by 20 GBP per ton. The increase reflects a tightening of coreboard supply throughout Europe.
Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l. is wholly owned by Sonoco (NYSE: SON) and operates 30 tube and core plants and six paper mills on the European continent and in the United Kingdom.
