‘Tommy Collection’ by TOMMY JEANS Returns for Spring ‘23

TOMMY HILFIGER announces the next chapter of Tommy Collection by TOMMY JEANS on February 15, 2023. Inspired by its roots in hip-hop, Tommy Collection connects to communities around the world driving street culture through a progressive, local lens. This season, TOMMY JEANS pulls up in the world of lowriding in Japan’s Chicano culture with the latest drop of its most elevated collection.

The Spring ’23 Tommy Collection consists of 55 pieces showcasing a contemporary take on the TOMMY JEANS archive. Modern staples are given seasonal twists, headlined by the Chicago windbreaker in red and blue with removable sleeves. Other highlights include Aiden baggy denim jeans, with a style synonymous to rap music in medium wash and relaxed waist, as well as the color-blocked parka, sleeveless cropped denim trucker vest, letterman knitted vest and nylon hockey pullover. Pieces throughout the collection play on proportions and layering while blending prep, skate and hip-hop aesthetics. Sporty archives are recoded through the kaleidoscope of cultures, providing classic silhouettes with a turbocharged energy.

The Tommy Collection Spring ‘23 campaign is a mix of action-filled snapshots, off-the-cuff moments, and intimate portraits of the lowrider community, shot by London-based photographer Theo Cottle. With a cast of classic American lowrider and garage owners, rappers and tattoo artists, the Japanese collective shapes a high-octane world for the collection to show up in.

Videographer Yohai Haga Peta (@yoheipeta) captured the lowrider scene in night-time Shibuya, with scenes sparked by Cali-Mex street and car culture, as the drivers drive drift, bounce and ride through the Tokyo streets.
