Barnes & Noble Relocates within Paddock Shops

Barnes & Noble is very pleased to announce the relocation of its Paddock Shops bookstore on Wednesday, February 15^th. The bookseller moves to the opposite side of the Paddock Shops into the space formerly occupied by Pier 1. The new bookstore will showcase the award-winning bookstore design seen in the most recent Barnes & Noble store openings.

The new Barnes & Noble is located at 4330 Summit Plaza Drive, Louisville, KY 40241, directly next to Total Wine & More. It will officially open to the public at 10:00 AM ET on February 15^th, with author Leesa Cross-Smith cutting the ribbon and signing copies of best-selling B&N Book Club selection Half-Blown Rose.

“Our Paddock Shops location has been the neighborhood bookstore here for over 21 years and we’re thrilled to be able to continue that tradition within the same shopping center,” said Amy Fitzgerald, VP of Stores, Barnes & Noble. “Relocating gives our booksellers the opportunity to craft a beautiful and unique bookstore from the ground up and really curate the selection for their community. We’re especially fortunate to be able to offer continuity of service with no downtime, in the same center, with all the longtime booksellers this community has come to trust.”

Barnes & Noble is experiencing a period of tremendous growth, buoyed by a reading renaissance and renewed enthusiasm for physical bookstores. In 2022, Barnes & Noble opened more new bookstores than it had in the decade since 2009. The bookseller expects to open over 30 new bookstores in 2023, with the new Paddock Shops location being the first in the Louisville area since 2002.
