Hallmark Recognized on Newsweek’s “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity” List in 2023

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – WEBWIRE

Hallmark Cards, Inc. has been named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces 2023 for Diversity by Newsweek. This list identifies and recognizes the top 1,000 companies that support a diverse workforce by respecting and valuing different kinds of people. Newsweek and market data research firm Plant-A Insights compiled the list using public data, interviews with human resources professionals and an anonymous online survey of a diverse pool of employees at large employers in the U.S.

“We’re proud to receive this recognition of our approach to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace,” said Kristen Harris, vice president of enterprise diversity, equity and inclusion at Hallmark. “Creating spaces of belonging and inclusion is central to Hallmark’s culture and our commitment to deepening human connection and helping people live more caring, connected lives.”

Hallmark integrates diversity, equity and inclusion into its business, including hiring, vendor relationships, product creation and creating a welcoming work environment. Showing respect for all individuals is central to the company’s work and the lives its employees lead. This is put into action throughout the company through various employee resource groups, including those for African Americans, Asian Americans, employees with disabilities, Latinxs, members of the LGBTQIA community, active military and veterans of the services, women and young professionals.

Recently, Hallmark was recognized on the Forbes America’s Best Large Employers list for 2023 and Best Employers for Women ranking in 2022. Hallmark was also recognized as one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality in 2022 by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
