Natalee Ganyon’s children’s book “Here’s How That Happened, Volume 2: Folk Tales and Fables for Children & All Young at Heart” melted hearts when it was showcased by self-publishing company ReadersMagnet at the successfully concluded 2023 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience (LLX) last January 27-30, 2023. The event was held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans.

The LibLearnX, formerly called the American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting, showcased various interactive programs, hands-on workshops, and speaking conferences from some of the big names in the library sector. Attendees got to interact, network, and learn about the plans that will impact the future of libraries and their communities.

Natalee Ganyon’s “Here’s How That Happened, Volume 2” was one of the notable published works displayed at the exhibition.

Author Bio

Author, storyteller, and puppeteer Natalee Ganyon grew up in Kansas. Her grandfather passed down old sayings and stories. Natalee married Bruce after the Vietnam era. They settled for 40 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After teaching Prek & K with 2 Child Development associates, she later finished college in Recreation Therapy. She developed many educational programs for senior facilities. Today Natalee enjoys her son, two daughter, and grandchildren. The son survived childhood cancer twice and lives in Kansas today. One daughter has a Master’s in Childhood Trauma. The other daughter enjoys working for state programs in Nevada.

Natalee acquired a passion for storytelling and puppet sidekicks while teaching. She is motivated to spread imagination, morals, and problem-solving through various types of stories. Jim Ganyon and Natalee met after their spouses passed. Jim, a retired first responder, found that they both had several dozen puppets! Today they teach all kinds of themed subjects through storytelling and puppet sidekicks. They zoom, visit classrooms, and do various events. During the Covid lockdowns, Natalee put a few of her 100 stories into book form. With eight stories in two books, “Here’s How That Happened” series are found on Walmart, Amazon, Barnes and Nobel, and other sites.
