HERC Products Incorporated Announces Award of a Major Ship Preservation Task Effort Onboard the USNS Bob Hope

WEBWIRE

PORTSMOUTH, VA -- HERC Products Incorporated (PINKSHEETS: HERC) announced today that the Company has been awarded, via General Dynamics and Hydratech, the blast, prime and paint effort for the US Military Sealift Command ship, USNS BOB HOPE (T-AKR-300), the first Large, Medium Speed, Roll-on/Roll-off vessel of her class.

HERC President/CEO, S. Steven Carl, states, “This job represents the first significant award for our new Pascagoula, Mississippi office. Only minutes from the Port of Pascagoula, we deliberately sited our new facility in a portion of Mississippi that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. We wanted to be among the first to set up new, corporate operations and offer steady, well-paying jobs to the local workforce. We are proud to report that over eighty percent of the personnel that will be assigned to this effort are long-term residents of the region. Several had homes destroyed by the hurricane and have bravely returned to help rebuild their community. This project, our second regional support effort, demonstrates the promise for both revenue and capacity growth, plus an opportunity to reinforce our commitment to expanding HERC’s Gulf Coast presence.”

The job is scheduled to start March 22, 2007.
