ConocoPhillips Contributes $1 Million To Memorial Hermann Life Flight For Purchase Of Six New Emergency Care Helicopters

HOUSTON – ConocoPhillips announced today its contribution of $1 million to Memorial Hermann Life Flight to help with the purchase of six new helicopters that will provide enhanced emergency care to the community.

“Since its inception in 1976, Memorial Hermann’s Life Flight has brought hope to thousands of patients who have required emergency medical care and transportation,” said Phil Frederickson, executive vice president, ConocoPhillips. “By replacing the existing four helicopters and adding two new helicopters, Life Flight will be able to reach many more people who have life-threatening medical conditions.”

The ConocoPhillips contribution will be combined with the generous contributions from other groups and organizations to help Life Flight fulfill its goal of expansion and enhancement of the existing Life Flight fleet. The new fleet will include faster, state-of-the-art, more-fuel-efficient craft; expand service from a new base to include the Port of Houston; and enable dedicated service of one new helicopter solely to children and their unique pediatric needs at the Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center.
