“Then Sings My Soul” brings to the table more than just a story about a family. It shares the story of a grieving family and their journey toward healing. In the book, Lily Langston recently lost her husband, Samuel, to a car accident. Fifteen-year-old Aaron Turner was driving too fast when he suddenly hit Samuel and instantly killed him.

Lily and her family, being Christians, persuaded the court to give Aaron probation and let him serve time doing community service only. This did not sit well with Lily’s daughter, fifteen-year-old Rose. Rose believed that Aaron should pay for the death of her father and should instead serve his time in prison. Things took an interesting turn when Lily and her family, who are gifted musicians, discovered that Aaron could also sing and play the guitar.

Read more about how the family finds complete healing and forgiveness and how the power of music changed their lives. Order Doreen Hatton’s “Then Sings My Soul” on Amazon. Catch the book’s display at the ReadersMagnet booth at the LibLearnX 2023.
