About the Author

Barbara Pierce, a veteran teacher, and author accomplished her childhood dream of writing books for children after retiring from the Mount Vernon Public School System in 2003. Writing for her has since become her primary concentration. She writes both fiction and nonfiction in her writing to cover a wide range of interesting subjects and reading levels. Though her works are specifically geared toward the youth, there is something for all those who are interested in the fun of learning.
