ReadersMagnet Showcased “The Way of The Carpenter” at East Coast Largest Library Gathering

George Whitley’s “The Way of The Carpenter” was among the acclaimed books displayed by self-publishing company ReadersMagnet at the New York Library Association (NYLA) 2022 Annual Conference & Trade Show. The book exhibition occurred during NYLA 2022’s two-day event held last November 3-4, 2022, at the Saratoga Springs City Center, New York.

The said library conference was considered the largest gathering of librarians, trustees, academics, writers, and book lovers on the East Coast, showing support for the advancement of New York’s library community. George Whitley’s Christian fiction “The Way of The Carpenter” was one of the exclusive books showcased to the delight of the NYLA’s attendees.

“The Way of The Carpenter” tells the story of Jacob, a young boy, during 26 A.D. Jerusalem. The time was when Roman power regulated Jacob and his family’s existence, as they were made to live accordingly to the God of their forefathers. This coming-of-age story narrates Jacob’s conundrum: the crossroads of his boyhood and spirituality. Jacob is posed with the question of whether to follow his ancestor’s faith or become a follower of the new prophet.

George Whitley provides an intriguing, at the same time enlightening perspective towards the New Testament in this fascinating work of fiction.

Author Bio

George Raymond Whitley was born and raised in Pennsylvania, went to Penn State, and majored in Computer Science. While at Penn State, George started writing short stories, which led to his first book, “Shadow of Death,” a sci-fi short story. As he progressed in his IT career, he produced his second book “Paradise Above.”

George became more involved with the church and with reading the scriptures. Because of this, he felt compelled to write about the life of Jesus Christ, but from a different angle. Thus, came the “Way of the Carpenter” and “The Way of the Disciples.” He is working on a book about Joseph titled “The Way of the Dreamer.”

Some of George’s hobbies include fishing, reading, and baseball.
