Author Noah Micah Dorson Expresses His Love in a Letter to His Father, Who Inspired Him to Write His Book “Imperfect Healing: A Meditation on Beginning Again in America”

WEBWIRE

Noah Micah Dorson describes how his father inspired his understanding of the world and the importance of spiritual practice in order to withstand the test of time.

Mitchell Charles Dorson, Noah’s father, was a teacher in his hometown of Tucson, Arizona, who fought to inspire those around him to seek out and cultivate the good with all their hearts.

Here is Noah Micah Dorson’s letter to his father:

Dear Dad,

It has been over ten years since you passed. Yet, your warmth, spirit, and passion live on. It resides in your extended family, your children, your brother, your beautiful grandchild, your students, your friends, and now the people who have learned about your life through “Imperfect Healing.”

In every line, chapter, teaching, and story of “Imperfect Healing,” I feel your presence. You are the glue that holds the book together. You are the one continuing to inspire and teach in a profound way through “Imperfect Healing.”

If you were ever afraid of being forgotten, I pray that this fear has now been put to rest. You, the beautiful YOU, who carried so much and did so much, will always be remembered!

I love you.

Always Your Son,
Noah Micah Dorson

Noah has found a way to honor his father’s memory and inspire others through his grief and healing journey. He hopes that by sharing his story, he will inspire others to find their inner strength and strive for a better life in the midst of adversity. His story reminds us that even in the toughest of times, we can find hope and healing if we are willing to take the first step toward a better life.
