Diane H. Lane to Hold a Book Signing Event at the 2023 LibLearnX

Enthusiastic readers will be glad to meet Diane H. Lane at her book signing session at the 2023 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience on January 29, at 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM CST at ReadersMagnet’s Booth No. 337. Author Diane H. Lane will sign copies of her inspiring book “I Loved Her Enough: Chance, Tragedy, Love, and Fresh Air.”

“I Loved Her Enough” is an encouraging book based on the true life story of Eilleen Wharton Spence, a good friend of the author’s mother.

Diane knew Eilleen her entire life and also knew Eilleen was adopted and had arrived by train when she was 5. When Diane asked for more details, she was blown away by the number of chance happenings and events that had occurred. That’s when Diane became inspired to write this powerful story, so worthy of being told. Details were researched in the Delaware Archives to be complete and accurate.

Children are supposed to be enjoying life, but life was hard for the five-year-old Eilleen. Her father had died, and her mother was dying from tuberculosis. Eilleen had no choice but to survive the hard times in the early years of New York. It was as if seeing the light at the end of a dark tunnel, The Fresh Air Fund’s Summer Program had an unexpected opening, and this became the saving grace of Eilleen. Ever since she moved to Delaware, her life completely changed. Her once miserable life unfolded as a wonderful love story, and she finally found the healing she had longed for.

This book shows the power of faith, gratitude, and positive determination. The author’s excellent writing makes the story even more interesting that readers can’t help but indulge themselves in the book and sympathize with the characters.
