Two New Documentaries Combine Science, Scripture to Prove Historical Jesus

LOS ANGELES (March 20 2007) — A team of experts in theology and biblical archeology with over 90 major television documentaries to their credit are bringing Scripture and science to bear on a question that men and women of faith have struggled with for centuries: Does indisputable evidence exist to prove the death and miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ?

David W. Balsiger, Senior Producer at Grizzly Adams Productions, said his team of experts and researchers has addressed the age-old query with two dramatic new television/DVD documentaries that blend the latest in technology with solid archeological research and historical/scriptural context.

“The answer to this question, that thinking men and women throughout history have wrestled with, is a resounding Yes!” said Balsiger. “Our two solidly researched and produced programs -- each analyzing the existing evidence of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ from different contexts – will convince those who are skeptical about the historical legitimacy of Jesus Christ, and will confirm and strengthen the faith of those who already believe this timeless and eternal account found in Scripture.”

The Fabric of Time: Secrets of the Universe, scheduled for broadcast on the I Network, is a scientific analysis of the world-famous Shroud of Turin, thought by many to be the shroud in which Christ was buried — and from which he was freed upon his miraculous resurrection. The Case for Christ’s Resurrection, scheduled for broadcast on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, also looks at the death and resurrection of Christ, but from a traditional biblical evidences point of view.

“Both of these documentaries are well-researched, thought-provoking, and very compelling to viewers,” explained Balsiger. “And most importantly, neither stoops to the sensational — these are quality programs that will stand up to critical, scientific, and scholarly examination by any peer review group.”
