The primary idea of “Diary of A Seeker: The Tales and Anecdotes of a Life Student Volume I” by Daniel Hayashi is to picture the author as a troubadour who became a messenger and descended to earth on behalf of humanity from heaven. He recounts his experiences and observations as the ambassador of heaven to inform his companions, mentors, and Father of his findings. He describes to them the horrifying human storms he saw and how there are some bright spots despite all the pain in life. His Father informs him that they are a necessary component of life’s exquisitely conceived plan to increase unparalleled omniscience and perfection through reincarnation.

Hayashi’s book is a unique collection of fictional situations mixed with actual events and spiritually-based logic. The author attempts to establish the existence of God and the personal nature of faith through multiple narratives. Hayashi has infused his history with personal memories and a glossary of terms that includes definitions for concepts ranging from cynicism to nirvana.
