Steven F. Verzal’s book display enthralled readers at NYLA 2022 Annual Conference and Trade Show.
ReadersMagnet gracefully presented the non-fiction book “The Silent Badge” by Steven F. Verzal at the New York Library Association 2022 Annual Conference and Trade Show on November 3–4, 2022, at the Saratoga Springs City Center at 522 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
“The Silent Badge” helps readers in deciding if being a police officer is a good fit for them. If they are married, they need to discuss it with their spouse before applying. It is a family decision. They must be able to communicate with their spouse if married. If they are bias or prejudice towards others, they need to find another occupation. Various scenarios that police officers might face on the job are provided in this book. The stories themselves may be old, but the things they describe are still very much a part of our present.
Police still face the challenges of traffic stops, felony investigations, and teen suicide attempts. There has been a rise in the number of police deaths at domestic (or other undetermined) disturbance scenes in recent years.
Steven F. Verzal, an incredible author, spent thirty years penning this. He started it, paused it, and now he’s restarting it. After learning that a close nephew was considering applying to the police academy, he decided to finish the book.
