AUSTIN, Texas - Cortexa Technology has announced the release of the latest version of the Cortexa “My Home” home automation solution. The new software release includes enhanced functionality and features that expand the homeowners’ ability to control all subsystems and forms of digital entertainment within the home.

Committed to providing the most affordable and leading edge technology to consumers, Cortexa’s home automation solution now supports the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) protocol to allow streaming of music from all UPnP enabled devices and applications like Windows Media Player 11 to include the ability to display album cover art, on screen.

Additional key enhancements include full support of Russound’s Whole Home Audio and NuVo Simplese and Grand Concerto Home Audio systems. Aprilaire HVAC control and Centralite Elegance Lighting were other popular customer requests that have now been fully integrated into the Cortexa solution.
