Shannon Teichmann’s Testimony Book to Be Displayed at the LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience (LLX)

The book “Following Jesus into Jail” by Shannon Teichmann will be featured by ReadersMagnet at the LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience on January 27-30, 2023 to be held at New Orleans Earnest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana.

“Following Jesus into Jail” tells the life-changing story of the author who fell into alcohol addiction for a long time. Shannon describes her experiences with alcohol addiction which led to a second conviction for DWI and subsequent incarceration and how the Holy Spirit instructed her to write a book about it.

“I want you to shine My light in the darkest of places!” these are the very words that Shannon received from God.

The author details all the journeys in her life. She gives the readers a close look at everything that occurred to her, particularly during the time when her health is in the worst state due to alcoholism.

When the judge sentenced Shannon to almost a year in county jail, it was also the same date wherein the message in Peterson’s book is about Jonah and the whale. And from that moment, Shannon was sure that God has work for her to do. There she started writing the book “Following Jesus into Jail.”

This book doesn’t just tell about Shannon’s life experiences, but it also shows God’s love and abundant grace for everyone. It delivers the powerful message that Christ’s redemption is for everyone, God heals and gives new life, and it is never too late to go back to Christ.

Author Bio

Shannon Teichmann lives in Texas with her husband and several fur babies. She previously worked as a professional librarian for fifteen years and is currently employed with The Salvation Army. She served four months in a Texas county jail after a second DWI conviction, wherein she began writing “Following Jesus into Jail” from a Christian testimony viewpoint. She is working on her second book and also planning her third. She is interested in jail ministry and is also an artist occasionally completing commissions for her clients.
