The story narrates how Eric endeavors to prove to the school that he is qualified to graduate and take the SAT exam for college. The plot turns interesting as Eric falls in love with his history teacher, Carole Schor.

Author Bio

Bruce Beryl Fisher was born in Philadelphia. He wrote the novel based on his experience of the Philadelphia school system in the 1960s and 1970s.

Bruce used to work as a studio stage manager for Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper, and the Bee Gees. He was also a set dresser for the film The Perez Family with Marisa Tomei and Anjelica Huston. Bruce currently works as a stagehand with the International Alliance of Theater Stage Employees in Miami, Florida. He resides in Hollywood, Florida.
