Charles Sampson’s Book is All Set for the 2023 LibLearnX

A memoir that tells compelling and untold stories of a six-generation family

San Diego, CA – WEBWIRE

“Sparrows of Senegambia deserves a place on shelves next to other nonfiction books about the African-American experience, told more fully and factually in the post-George Floyd world.” – BlueInk Review

The book “Sparrows of Senegambia: A Memoir” by Charles Sampson, Ph.D. will be featured by ReadersMagnet at the 2023 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience on January 27-30, 2023, to be held at New Orleans Earnest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana.

“Sparrows of Senegambia” is a memoir shaped by the author’s family history of six generations. It connects the memories of his birthplace, life and work experiences, and his journey in the Southern and Mid-Western United States and other countries.

The author details some of the hardships that his family faced and how they struggled to be recognized as humans from the end of the Civil War even up to this day. This comprehensive memoir is the product of Charles’ extensive research of his family background based on oral histories, census documents, and of course, from his life and work experiences.

Studying 155 years of his family’s time in America leads Charles to unapologetically affirm that the world is unfair, unjust, unknowable, and out of control. He grappled with the truth and learned that the truth is a very complicated thing.

This is the kind of memoir that keeps readers thoroughly engaged in what they are reading. The author’s reflections and realizations draw the attention of the readers and make them even more curious about his family’s experiences. The book also contains more facts about how African-Americans live in a post-George Floyd world.

“Sparrows of Senegambia: A Memoir” by Charles Sampson, Ph.D. is a masterpiece that everyone should read. Grab the chance to see its physical book at the ReadersMagnet exhibit booth on January 27-30, 2023 for the LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience (LLX).

Copies of the book are also available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and ReadersMagnet bookstore. Visit the author’s website at https://www.charlessampsonbooks.com/.
