The narrative of “Home” centers on a young man sent home from an unidentified clinic. The young man, still dazed from his sound sleep, notices a massive scorpion on the roof. He is taken aback when he meets a woman wearing a blue beehive. The woman welcomes him, but he isn’t sure of their relationship or that he is staying at his parents’ house. The woman starts giving the young narrator a regimen of drugs, which causes his already perplexed mind to sink even farther into strangeness. The young narrator, baffled about his surreal surroundings, gets even more confused.

Katzman masterfully thrills his readers in “Home” by using an unreliable narrator. The book’s multiple points of view highlight the author’s style. The book will transport readers to a fantastical world filled with a clever combination of meta-mystery and suspense despite its perplexing and bizarre plot. Author Bio
Mark Katzman is the 2012 winner of the Plays-in-Progress annual award from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri, for his full-length play, “Henny & Harry.” His work was presented in a whole staged reading. Countless museums and libraries, including MoMA, have featured his artist’s books as part of their special collections.
