Self-publishing company ReadersMagnet exhibited the intriguing novel of Sarah Sewell Wolters, “Sassy Sonja: Virgin Bride”, at the ReadersMagnet Book Confab in Tribeca, New York, last October 28-30, 2022, and the New York Library Association 2022 Annual Conference & Trade Show last November 3-4, 2022, at the Saratoga Springs City Center, New York.
The two separate book events provided a venue for authors to share their stories and for academics, librarians, writers, and readers to show support for the New York library community and book lovers in general.
Author Sarah Sewell Wolters’ novel “Sassy Sonja: Virgin Bride” tells the story of Sonja Kent. After Sonja’s father’s business went bankrupt, Sonja and her family were forced to move to a different state to start all over again. When Sonja met, fell in love, and married a young choir director, who later turned out to be mentally and emotionally unstable and sexually abusive, that’s when she strives to conjure up the courage, determination, and faith to survive and take up the responsibility for the consequences brought by the choices she made.
Before writing fiction, Sarah Sewell Wolters published a poetry book and wrote political articles on the subject of the Vietnam War. The author is also an accomplished musician, having studied and played piano at age five. She is currently writing a book sequel.
