East Coast’s Largest State Library Association Conference Presented Karen Essenburg’s Book

The nine fruits of the Holy Spirit are described in the Bible, and “You Can Be a Friend of God” is a wonderful way to introduce them to children. Karen Essenburg and her husband, Rick, are now empty nesters after raising seven children together in Michigan. She has always felt the desire to communicate to children the importance of God being their friend and how the fruits of the Spirit can grow in their lives. Karen’s hobbies include gardening, boat rides on the chain of lakes near their home, live music, and volunteering at her church.

She is currently working on a series of books that will showcase each fruit of the Spirit individually. She looks forward to continuing to share her first book with children and sharing the new books she is working on.
