“It’s an easy read, filled with excitement, comedy, and emotional drama! My only complaint is that it left me wanting more.” – Amazon Review

Author Dale Arenson came from a poor and broken family. At an early age, he fell into the dangerous life of a 1% outlaw biker in Southern California, with numerous run-ins with the law. But after years of hard work, he became an airline pilot and eventually a world-champion rifle shooter. People had insisted on him many times that he should write a book. And so he did, publishing “Hangmen: Riding With an Outlaw Motorcycle Club in the Old Days” (Dale Arenson Publishing LLC; 2021).

“Hangmen” is brimming with exciting and thrilling stories that came from the personal experiences of the author during his days in the Hangmen Motorcycle Club. The book focuses on when its reputation was yet being formed, even after the beginnings in Richmond, California where no written history and only very few pictures exist.

Even in the beginning of the book, the author already has the readers’ attention when he narrates the happenings back then when they are about to face The Seekers (another motorcycle club) who have been pissing them off lately. Dale just came out from prison at that time and, although with shaking hands, he prepared himself for a brawl fight or even worse than that. The intriguing prologue makes the readers even more curious about his life.

This memoir makes the readers want to know more about bikes and motorcycle clubs. Although some of them weren’t born during those years yet or didn’t know much about motorcycle clubs, Dale’s way of writing gives everyone a good look about the biker lifestyle, making them imagine and reminisce about those days as well. The blurred and fuzzy pictures made everything even more nostalgic in the eyes of the readers.

For Dale, their brotherhood in the Hangmen was the only thing that mattered in their lives. More important than family. More important than anything else in the world.
