Jay was born in the Bronx in 1946. He has been married to Ilona for almost 50 years. He has been an avid Trump supporter since 2015 (coming down the escalator). Jay and Ilona have 2 daughters, Deborah, and Meredith, and eight grandchildren.

He received a BBA from Baruch College of CUNY and an MBA from Adelphi University. He was an NYS Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. His final position was as CEO of the Sephardic Geriatric Foundation for 4 years until he retired five years ago. After moving to Florida, he became involved in politics influenced by Donald Trump. He is an elected member of the Republican Executive Committee of Palm Beach County (where Trump resides) in Florida.
