"Facing the Challenge, Beating the Odds" is a story about Jimmy’s faith, love for Jesus and His Church, and the author’s attempts to put his faith into action.

Self-publishing company ReadersMagnet showcased author Jimmy Mulzet’s book, “Facing the Challenge, Beating the Odds: The Jimmy Mulzet Story,” at the pop-up Book Confab in Tribeca, New York, last October 28-30, 2022, and the New York Library Association (NYLA) 2022 Annual Conference & Trade Show last November 3-4, 2022, at the Saratoga Springs City Center, New York. Hundreds of participants gathered to support New York’s book scene and library community, making the two separate book events successful affairs.

The ReadersMagnet Book Confab was the first-ever pop-up held by the company, drawing authors and book enthusiasts to share their stories and a chance to interact with each other. The NYLA 2022, the New York chapter of the American Library Association (ALA), aimed to promote and advocate for the New York library community and was said to generate the biggest attendance for a library state association conference held on the East Coast.

Jimmy Mulzet’s “Facing the Challenge, Beating the Odds” was part of the book exhibition sponsored by ReadersMagnet at both events. The touching memoir talks about how Jimmy Mulzet was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at six months and was predicted never to walk. But with strong support coming from his family, coupled with an ardent faith in God, not only did Jimmy learn to walk, he accomplished feats that no ordinary man would deem possible.

A story of bravery, perseverance, determination, and faith, “Facing the Challenge, Beating the Odds” is a must-read for those who need that pull to keep on going through life despite adversities.
