A Short Yet Touching Tale of Compassion

A tool for teaching children the hardships of stray dogs.

Boston, MA – WEBWIRE

What comes to mind when you think of stray animals? A gang of stray dogs? A swarm of pigeons? A whole herd of cows? No, as you can see. The truth is that these animals, like any other stray animal, can be trained and when given compassion can turn out to be excellent family members. A stray animal is one that has been abandoned by its owner or family members and is left to fend for itself in the world with no direction or care. Even stray animals can become part of one’s family if they are treated with kindness and given a chance to adjust to people.

“Island Potcake Dogs” is a children’s book about two small dogs who are adopted as family members. It’s a lovely story to share with your children or to give as a gift to the children of your friends. This book is hilarious and sweet all at the same time. It’s also educational because it teaches children the value of pets and compassion, which are always thought of when talking about island families.

Copies of this adorable book are available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, GoToPublish, and other online retailers. Pricing is around $2.99 for a Kindle edition and $11.33 for a paperback format. Grab a copy and have your heart melt at the idea of some stray animals becoming family pets.
