Or did He grant us free will? “Finding Truth: Journey of a Christian and His Church,” a thought-provoking piece of fiction about a young orphan kid who struggles to survive and discovers God in the process, addresses this and other profound topics.

The protagonist of this tale is a little child named Christian who was raised outside of a tiny rural community. He didn’t go to church, and neither did his parents. But when an outbreak hits their neighborhood, Christian’s parents pass away. Christian decides to go to the woods where he learns to survive on his own rather than being taken to an orphanage. Up until that day he had a very strange dream that inspires him to look for the truth and God.

Christian enters the town and makes friends with lads his age and the pastor there, Caring. The Bible is very important to Christian. His close readings and dreams of encounters with angels provide him with spiritual inspiration. His innovative and energetic interpretations of the Bible astound everyone. His zeal spreads, and the residents experience a spiritual awakening. For the people of his town and their church, he is a revelation.

Will he give in to the traditions of a church that is steeped in tradition in his quest to learn more about God? Or will he take the initiative to guide them toward becoming a joyous, devoted church that centers on Christ and exudes joy and God’s love?

This novel would appeal to both adults and teenagers.

In his post-retirement ministries, Mr. Chipman works with inmates at a state prison, a county jail, and a juvenile detention center. He runs an Awana Club with his wife.
