Wickford W. Welden is a prolific writer known for his short and scary stories. He wrote other books, which are titled “Tales,” “The Sand Castle,” “An American in England,” “Afternoon Tea with the Poet Laureate,” and “The Door to the Basement and Other Stories.”

Carrying the legacy of his predecessor Franz Kafka, he also writes fantastic and sometimes sinister stories. He graduated with a degree in Philosophy and traveled extensively around Britain and other Continents during the 70s and 80s. The author worked for over 40 years as a full-time state insurance underwriter in lower Manhattan. Welden is currently living in Larchmont, a village in Southern Westchester.
